If chronic low back pain interferes with your quality of life, you may be a candidate for the Chronic Low Back Pain Clinical Study. The Study is evaluating the Intracept Procedure – a minimally invasive outpatient procedure for the relief of chronic low back pain.
What is the Intracept Procedure?
During the Intracept Procedure, doctors make a small (3-5mm) incision in the lower back. Following this, a specialized probe is advanced into the vertebrae and positioned at the precise location of the pain-sensing basivertebral nerve. Once positioned, the Intracept probe uses radiofrequency energy (heat) to disable the basivertebral nerve, rendering it unable to transmit pain signals.
The Chronic Low Back Pain Clinical Study is being conducted in the U.S. To see if you might qualify, and to be referred to a treatment site(s) in your area, please take a moment to complete the pre-screening questionnaire. If you qualify and choose to join the Clinical Study, you will receive all Study-related care at no cost.
The pre-screening questionnaire is the first step toward participating in the Chronic Low Back Pain Clinical Study. The questionnaire will help determine if you meet some of the main criteria for the Study. If you pass the pre-screening questionnaire, you will be able to enter your name and contact information, which will be sent directly to the Study Site in your area. The Study Coordinator at your local site will then contact you within a few days to provide additional information about the study, and discuss your questionnaire responses in more detail.
Please note that completing the pre-screening questionnaire does NOT obligate you to participate in the Study nor does it guarantee your eligibility. Rather, the pre-screening questionnaire helps determine if you are eligible for further screening at your local Study Site.
Please click on the link below if you would like to continue to the pre-screening questionnaire. The questionnaire will take less than 5 minutes to complete. Completion of the questionnaire is voluntary. You are free to end it at any time.
